The entries have been assessed both by an independent judging panel, and by members of the public at the PRT Exhibition in Bath. Their marks and comments have been collated, and we are pleased to announce the results as follows:
Winner of both the public survey and the independent judging panel, ARUP's highly innovative entry seamlessly melds ideas from Victorian architecture and space-age modern design.
Ranked a very close second place by both the public and the judging panel, this entry takes an entirely different approach, showing how ULTra can fit into the designs, materials, and local craftmanship of Bath's traditional Georgian architecture.
Federico Donelli's elegant entry proposes a faceted vehicle more in keeping with the planar geometry of Bath's traditional architecture.
ARUP proposed a milder modification of the standard ULTra design, with larger windows and a surface designed to reflect Bath's environment.
Bart van Lieshout & Joost Heijnis' entry is designed with a more automotively-inspired aerodynamic shape.
