The first full production vehicle, manufactured by ARRK in Basildon Essex, has been delivered to the Cardiff trials site. The new vehicle features a more powerful motor, full climate control, and the complete passenger interface. This vehicle now starts commissioning trials. In the background to the picture below can be seen the enhanced trials site at Cardiff which now replicates both the Car Park and Terminal stations at Heathrow, and thus enables tests which represent the anticipated practical vehicle duty cycle. Initial endurance trials of engineering vehicles on this layout have given 100% satisfactory results.
